ACTIVITIES / ACTIVITES / PROGRAMME

R3ICH Awards

In order to recognize exemplary students of character who demonstrate the school values, R3ICH Awards are presented to the deserving students. The R3ICH Awards are given out twice a year on a semestral basis. Students who exemplify the R3ICH (Respect; Responsibility; Resilience; Integrity; Compassion; Harmony) are nominated by their teachers. The award aims to encourage more students to emulate the good and desired behaviour of the R3ICH award winners and for all students to internalize our R3ICH values.

VALUES in ACTION PROGRAMME (VIA) 2016

What is Community Service in AMKSS?

Community service is a donated service or activity that is performed by an individual or a group of pupils or staff for the benefit of the school or the community. Typically, the service or activity helps the school in its mission of raising AMKsians to become responsible citizens who are grounded in sound values with a spirit of service by strengthening our pupils' senses of civic engagement and community.

The AMKSS Values in Action Programme (VIA) seeks to:

  • Inculcate a spirit of volunteerism and service in pupils
  • Instill in pupils the values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, Compassion and Harmony
  • Provide opportunities for pupils to learn important lifeskills through interaction with people from different levels of the community
  • Nurture a culture of conservation and a love for the environment
