Worldwide Fund (WWF) Leadership for Programme

The Eco-Club members attended the WWF Leadership Programme on 5 and 7 March 2018. They served as nature
guides to the general public to create awareness of special features of the Tampines Eco Green Trail and to appreciate the beauty of nature during the NParks Festival of Biodiversity on 3 June 2018.

YED/Earth Day and Earth Hour Celebrations

The Environmental Club members celebrated Youth for the Environment Day cum Earth Day by holding an exhibition and a talk by Mr Yeo Keng Hui on Marine Conservation in Singapore. As part of the celebration, the annual Earth Hour celebration was conducted in the same week to impress upon the school community the importance of saving resources for environment sustainability. In addition, Ang Kah Shin was selected to participate in the Conversation with the Guest of Honour, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister of Environment and
Water Resources during the NEA YED Celebration held at ITE College Central on 20 April 2018.

WWF Illegal Trade Workshop

The students attended the WWF Illegal Trade Workshop on 30 July 2018. They learned how to spread awareness of the dangers of illegal wildlife trade.  The students found the workshop informative and the activities were enjoyable.

Singapore Environmental Council School Green Day

In November 2017, it was a privilege to share the school’s environmental efforts with the Mr Ng Chee Meng, the then Minister for Education (Schools) & Second Minister for Transport. He is currently Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and was appointed the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) on 23 April 2018.
