The Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) curriculum brings language learning to life through authentic and immersive experiences that help students connect deeply with their linguistic and cultural roots. Through meaningful MTL Performance Tasks, students apply what they learn in real-world settings, developing creativity, confidence, and strong communication skills. The annual MTL Fortnight is a highlight of the year, offering exciting hands-on experiences such as Text Recital, Cross Talk, Seal Carving, Spin Top, Kuih Making, Malay Dance, and the Language Carnival. The Reading Programme further cultivates a love for reading and strengthens students’ language proficiency through engaging texts and activities. Festive celebrations like Chinese New Year and Hari Raya also foster appreciation for our shared traditions and Singapore’s vibrant multicultural identity. Beyond the classroom, Talent Development programmes inspire students to explore the arts and take part in competitions where they can discover and shine in their talents.
