The school’s Audio-Visual (AV) Media Club provides students with valuable technical skills and inculcates the spirit of volunteerism and initiative. Our regular activities include setting up the public announcement (PA) system for morning assembly on Monday & Thursday and afternoon assembly on Wednesday and for all school events. Our students are also resident photographers for all school performances and special occasions.
This year the AV Media Club students were involved in numerous major school events, Awards’ Day 2023, Family Day 2023, Teachers’ Day cum EAS Celebrations and Farewell Assembly.
Our members also participated in various competitions this year, Character building is also emphasized upon in the CCA. We hope to nurture students who are able to work in a confident manner both individually and in teams, be adaptable, and have the self-discipline to put in their best in the tasks they are assigned. At the end of each training session, students’ works are shared and they get to learn from one another.
This year our students have also taken part in numerous competitions such as 2023 Crea8 Sustainability Competition, Our School, Our Stories Photography and Videography Contest 2023 which allow them to build on their competencies and confidence.
In addition, our students are trained in simple coding, microbit and Game Maker. This training in computational thinking will equip them with the skills required for Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative. Learning journeys were also organized to allow students to relate and apply what they have learnt in the CCA.
